Oversight
Our Data Protection Officer ensures compliance with data protection policies throughout the organization
All vendors sign a comprehensive confidentiality agreement that legally binds them to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary or sensitive data they might access during their engagement with us. It stipulates strict guidelines on how information should be handled, stored, and transmitted, and outlines the consequences of any breach of confidentiality.
ITC only works with artificial intelligence companies via paid subscription services. This guarantees the content we submit is not permanently stored or used to train their technology or improve the experience of other users. Any text ITC submits is only stored as needed to create translations and, if approved, to train the client’s private translation engine. It is never shared with third parties. ITC’s machine translation suppliers comply with government regulations like the GDPR and are ISO 27001:2013 certified.
PCI-DSS
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard confirms that ITC Global follows industry standards to securely process, store, and transmit credit card information.
HIPAA
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a U.S. law designed to protect the privacy and security of individuals’ health information. ITC Global is HIPAA certified through HIPAA Secure Now!

ITC complies with the provisions of Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as well as European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data. ITC is responsible for processing personal data within the meaning of EU Regulation 2016/679. We process personal data to manage orders (delivery, payment, after-sales service, etc.) and, more generally, to properly execute sales contracts.
Quebec’s Law 25
ITC Global complies with all requirements set out in Law 25, including transparency, the right to privacy by default, and the right to delete and transfer. Law 25 went into effect in the Canadian province of Quebec in 2021. It covers businesses in the private and public sectors, as well as private organizations. Since Law 25’s scope extends to any end user of a supplier based in Quebec, all Quebec consumers are covered and protected by this legislation.
Per ISO, “Conformity with ISO/IEC 27001 means that an organization or business has put in place a system to manage risks related to the security of data owned or handled by the company, and that this system respects all the best practices and principles enshrined in this International Standard.”
Hébergeurs de Données de Santé (HDS) certification is required for entities such as cloud service providers that host the personal health data governed by French laws and collected for delivering preventive, diagnostic, and other health services. It is the French equivalent of HIPAA. Our datacenter is HDS certified.
HIPAA is a U.S. law enacted in 1996 that establishes national standards for safeguarding personal health information (PHI) and ensures that individuals have control over their health data. It sets requirements for the secure handling, transmission, and storage of health information by healthcare providers, insurers, and other entities. HIPAA also mandates confidentiality, sets standards for electronic health transactions, and provides individuals with rights to access and correct their health records. It is the U.S. equivalent of HDS. ITC Global is HIPAA certified.
